What is psychotherapy & counselling?

Counselling and psychotherapy offer a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Together, we can make sense of what’s troubling you, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and find new ways to cope and move forward. It’s a collaborative process that helps you gain understanding, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of balance and wellbeing.

What can I help you with?

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it isn’t always easy to face things alone. I aim to offer a supportive space to talk about whatever is troubling you and to find a way forward that feels right for you.

I work with adults and adolescents on a wide range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and panic

  • Low mood or depression

  • Grief, loss, and bereavement

  • Relationship or family difficulties

  • Low self-esteem or self-confidence

  • Life changes or transitions

  • Identity or self-acceptance

  • Work or study-related stress

  • Trauma or difficult past experiences

  • Feeling stuck, lost, or unsure about the future

Whether you’re experiencing a specific difficulty or simply want to understand yourself better, counselling can help you gain clarity, self-compassion, and a greater sense of wellbeing.

What do I bring as a therapist?

As a person-centred therapist, I offer a warm, accepting space where you can feel truly heard and supported. I combine empathy with active listening, at times drawing on coaching skills to help you explore new perspectives and make meaningful changes. Creativity often plays a part in my work, using imagery or expression to deepen understanding. I’m also committed to ongoing learning, continually developing my awareness of others’ experiences to provide an inclusive and compassionate space for growth.
