Psychotherapist & Counsellor

Walking On Beach

As a person-centred therapist, I believe that every individual has the innate capacity to grow and change when they feel supported with empathy, acceptance and genuine understanding. My approach blends therapeutic depth and counselling with practical coaching, creating a space where clients can heal from past experiences while also building confidence, setting meaningful goals and moving forward with greater clarity and self-belief.

My path into psychotherapy and counselling developed gradually through years of supporting others in education and mental  wellbeing roles. I found myself increasingly drawn to the emotional stories behind people’s experiences—the moments of struggle, resilience and transformation. This curiosity, combined with a desire to offer deeper, more specialised support, led me to formal training as a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist. I now hold a Level 7 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am completing my Master’s research year, with a focus on mental health and the impact of therapeutic intervention.

Warmth, honesty and compassion underpin everything I do. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, bouts of depression, feeling stuck, overwhelmed or simply wanting to understand yourself on a deeper level, I offer a calm and supportive space where you can explore at your own pace. Together, we work to help you reconnect with your own inner resources, resilience and potential for meaningful change.

Sports Psychotherapist

Alongside my work in education—where I have led on sports development and supported young athletes—I discovered a deep passion for psychology coaching and mindset.

Through coaching players across a range of sports, including specialist training as a golf psychology coach, I saw first-hand how confidence, motivation and focus shape performance. That experience sparked my commitment to sports psychotherapy.

Today, I help athletes understand the connection between mind and body, overcome performance blocks, and build the mental resilience needed to thrive both in their sport and in everyday life.

My work is driven by a genuine love of sport and a belief that with the right psychological coaching, every individual can unlock their potential and move towards growth, lasting well-being and peak performance.

Child Hugging Parent

For more than 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting others—first as a teacher and senior leader in schools, and now as a counsellor, psychotherapist and psychology coach. Working closely with young people, families and staff through both their challenges and successes has shown me the importance of resilience, connection and the power of truly being listened to.

Whilst in a past role as a school Mental Health Lead, I saw clearly how the parent or carer’s emotional wellbeing directly affects a child’s confidence, relationships and ability to learn. Stress, anxiety, depression, past traumas, self-doubt and life’s inevitable changes don’t only impact the individual—these ripple out across the families, classrooms and the wider community.

These experiences gave me the inspiration to  develop of a new, innovative project designed specifically to support parents and carers with their mental wellbeing  and health. By providing accessible counselling, therapeutic guidance, practical tools and a compassionate space to reflect, the project aims to strengthen the adults who support our children every day.

When parents and carers feel grounded, confident and well-supported, children flourish, schools thrive, and communities grow stronger.

This project is built on a simple belief: when we invest in the wellbeing of those who care for our children, the positive impact reaches far beyond the school gates.
