About Me
Laura Greenbank
BA (Hons) PGDip MNCPS

As a person-centred therapist, I believe we all have the capacity to change when given the right conditions: empathy, acceptance, and understanding. My approach weaves together therapy and coaching—helping clients not only to process and heal from the past but to grow in confidence, set meaningful goals, and move forward with clarity and self-belief.

Warmth, honesty, and compassion are at the heart of how I work. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about understanding yourself better, I’ll walk alongside you—at your pace—to help you reconnect with your own strength and potential.
For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting others—first as a teacher and senior leader in schools, and now as a therapist. Working with young people, families, and staff through both their challenges and triumphs taught me so much about resilience, connection, and the power of simply being heard.

During my time as a school Mental Health Lead, I became deeply interested in how our emotional wellbeing shapes how we think, feel, and show up in life. I saw firsthand how stress, self-belief, and change can affect not just performance—but our sense of who we are.

Alongside my work in education, I discovered a passion for psychology and mindset through coaching sports players. Helping athletes explore confidence, motivation, and focus gave me a deep appreciation for how the mind and body work together—and how those same insights can help anyone move towards growth and balance.

That curiosity and love for helping people reach their potential naturally led me to train as a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist. I now hold a Level 7 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am completing my Master’s research year, focusing on mental health and the impact of therapeutic intervention.
